I hear you, but I would have to think a lot of "us" would go in after the boat. I am pretty sure I would have done the same thing in that situation. Prayers for the man's family.

It's true and a lot of us do. Seems like every year we lose wadefishermen on the coast who drown after seeing their boat slip anchor and try to catch it. Lots of guys try and are luckily rescued because the coast is pretty busy these days but some don't make it. Most of us are tough guys and lots of us are in great shape too, but as somebody else mentioned the cold water doesn't care about any of that. Please don't ever let anyone you know try to chase a drifting boat, especially in the winter.
