    “We ain’t seen a deer in 3 years.....” 😂
That sounds like east texas on any weekend.

Yep the neighbors(one in particular) at my my lease are real good at target practicing every weekend during hunting season. Still better than being at work and can't beat the price!

Now I'm not going to feel bad about waking them up in a couple of weekends at 6:30am when duck season comes around.

Welcome to the fun Wayne. I just began this year. Wife already killed a nice buck with her crossbow. Hoping I can stick one with my Mathews in the next few days. I've never had buck fever before with a rifle but I drew on my first deer last Tuesday and flat out missed him. Made me sick but I know the mistakes I made. It's extremely addicting. Waterfowl hunting is starting to dim for me compared to past years, too much stress with what the industry has become. This is becoming a quick replacement right behind spring turkeys.

I want to get a doe with it before going after any buck, just because I know I'll be shaking the tree from the yips.
We still get after the ducks pretty good but this will certainly have me deciding on what to go after this season.
Now, spring turkeys...another thing on the bucket list. That seems like a real adrenaline rush having a long beard strutting right in front of you.

Your description on the shaking part is accurate lol. It was pretty cool though. We have flooded bottom lands as part of this place, mallards and woodies, I won’t stop hunting them here but my efforts on the road are likely to diminish.

The spring turkey hunting will definitely get your adrenaline going. It’s awesome

Daaaang y’all work quick! Didn’t you just ask a few weeks ago about buying a bow and you are already flinging arrows at live animals? Practice practice practice!!

Same here on the ducks dimming... but that happened in 2007.[emoji23]. I miss it at times but only the shooting and blind camaraderie. Don’t miss the 3am wake ups and long drives daily. I also never got the adrenaline shots with ducks, that I get with a buck at 20 yards or a tom strutting at 15 in your dekes with a bow.
