Age help

I can usually age deer pretty well but this buck is throwing me for a loop. Family place. No protein. Mason county. No history with this deer. My dad likes him but I’m thinking he looks 4 in some pics. That big full brisket is making me think otherwise. These pics are all September or earlier. I’ve got several pics where he looks older. Not a big deer antler wise as I’m figuring 120-125.













And this 8, if he’s the deer I think he is, is 5-6 and deceiving but he’s likely gonna catch a bullet as he’s just never gonna be what we want.

Why it turned them all sideways I don’t know. Good grief.

Full bodied and his face is relatively short. Id say 5.5. He could bet better but if you or your dad like him, take him.

I see what you’re saying. I can see 4 too but I think 5 is more likely.

Share your thoughts on the measurements. Not arguing. I’m curious. If I see him in person and think he breaks 130 my dad is gonna be mad

I say first deer is definitely older than 4, lots of times trying to age your own deer herd we seem to overthink it sometimes. Good luck

I’d agree with the ages but I think he comes up just short of 130”.

I’m guessing 5 and over 130. I’ve also always been willing to make my Dad mad for a good cause

This is the truth. When aging my lease deer it’s not hard lol. I want him to be 4. But so much tells me he’s not.

That 8 is a minimum of 5. Hrs just built weird. I’ve got pics of him from several years ago. Gonna likely die regardless. I’m not a fan of the crab claws and short brows and he’s a bully lol
