Saw him in 1971 at the Kiva movie theater in Durango. Yes was so drunk he fell off his bar stool. They refunded our money. Subsequently saw him numerous times and always enjoyed his music especially MBJs.Comment

RIP Jerry Jeff Walker. Your songs and singing, along with your Texas Outlaw music buddies Michael Martin Murphey, Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, Waylon Jennings, Townes Van Zandt and some others helped me almost totally avoid the disco scene of the 70s. I’m forever grateful for that. Now go find Mr. Bojangles and his dog, grab a guitar and play the old soft shoe.Comment

I remember seeing him at Gruene Hall in about ‘94. He walked in from the front, not from back stage somewhere, with his guitar on his back. Put on a good show. Then hung around after. He was smoochin’ on the girls. I thought it was funny.Comment
