Seen one hit on the highway the other day. They're sure pretty but they're not the smartest animals. They get killed all the time by vehicles.

Between cars and coyotes it's a wonder they exist anywhere.

Killed one last year, only the 2nd one I've ever seen. It was getting after my chickens.

I'd like to get one with my bow, but I wouldn't shoot one with a gun... they don't do much harm and are pretty good mousers... I've never seen a red, but lots of grays, even had one try to climb up in my stand with me in a tree once... scared us both pretty bad!

I’m eat up with them. Just trapped and relocated one yesterday.

Still common in Hardin and jasper counties, seems like I do see more grey fox than red these days.
