This news is bad news for our area. Not only does it set precedent that family ranches, no matter the size, can end up here, it also emboldens other silent partners on other ranches to demand payout from land rich-money poor families. I hate to see this.

Pretty much is. The one petrified wood gas station shut down when they redid the highway to not actually go through Guthrie.

I stopped at that old store in Guthrie for a rest break a 1000 times going back and forth to Tech from '75 to '80. Would you believe in all that time, I don't think I ever saw a deer from the road in that area. Now, they are everywhere!!!
