    First sit of the season

My work schedule has been crazy for the last month. I’ll be gone for a week, home for a couple days, gone for a few days, home for a day. So my days home I haven’t wanted to leave the wife and kiddos. Finally had a chance to go sit this morning. I’ve had no mature WT bucks on camera except for 3 days last month, but I’ve got a ton of does and a few axis deer that would be glad to take an arrow. Had a young axis buck come in when I was getting my mind right to pick out a WT doe and changed my plans. First kill with my Xpedition, and first with my VPA 1 1/4” three blades. Those broadheads are pretty legit. Shot him quartering away...liver, both lungs, centered a rib, and center punched the off side scapula bone just above the point of the shoulder. No pass through, but it split that bone 3-4 inches down into the joint and about 3 inches up the bone too. Broadhead looks great and still had a decent edge on it. Deer made it maybe 120 yards, which surprised me a little. Let my 3yo boy help me blood trail(after I knew he was dead) and the kid is a straight up blood hound! Going to see if I can get the videos posted somehow later this evening.
