    Gaia vs OnX

Anybody use both of these apps? I've used OnX for years and very familiar with it however I'm hearing Gaia may have some better topo features. The main thing I need is keeping me legal, private and public land ownership and hunting units so that's what I'm primarily looking for info on. Unfortunately it appears I'd have to pay for Gaia premium just to take a look and see what's in it, kind of like bills introduced by democrats lol... Figured I'd ask here and see if anyone can attest to or compare the land ownership data accuracy and availability.

Surely someone on youtube has a tutorial.. Have you tried looking there?

Yeah there's lots of tutorials, mostly all how to use the app type stuff. I'm looking for direct comparison for accuracy of private land boundaries and public land boundaries specifically, if data is complete or hit and miss stuff like that. If that's good to go then I'll pay for it and try it out. OnX this year seemed off, roads were sometimes hundreds of yards off and sometimes didn't exist at all. Curious if Gaia experiences similar issues.

I’ve run Gaia since well before Onx existed and I’ve never transferred my waypoints so I spent most of my time in Gaia. It seems to be more accurate and finds my location quicker. For public vs private I lean on Onx. I find that I use Onx more to find new areas from the house, but lean on Gaia while in the field. Onx has a unit boundary overlay that I like. I’ve never updated my original Gaia so the newer versions probably have some of the same features.

        Not sure this helps much.
