Been incredibly quiet this am other than a small mountain of squirrels.

Killed 17 wasps and saw 3 does.

Getting bored, think I'll go eat some breakfast and get on the tractor

Saw a doe a little while ago upwind about 65 yds but she didn't come this way. Then a group of hogs just came within a few yds right behind me downwind before winding me and taking off. At least I'm finally seeing something. I'm gonna stay another hour and then I may come back from 2-5pm. They should be up and eating around then.

No movement this morning. Got in the truck and drove back to camp, spike walked across the road with his mouth wide open panting. Never saw if he was following a doe but he sure was acting funny

No. Never saw buzzards nor him again. I was looking at a mature 8 that would score about 115. The deer I lost was a huge bodied 8 that would scare 140.

Only saw does while on the stand yesterday. Saw some hogs but no shots and a small buck while pulling camera cards. Passed an 8 pt last week even though he would be my biggest because I didn’t think he would score 125. Finally got a picture and every one says between 120 and 125. So I guess I will pass. 3.5 or 4.5 years old. Some bumps for G4’s so maybe he will make a 10 next year. Nacogdoches county.

Well my wife suggested that we stay until Monday morning so I said what the heck I’ll jump in the stand for an hour right before dark... no deer, but we’ve got the bacon.
