Taxes aren’t bad really. 5% state income tax, offset by super low property taxes. Costs more to register your vehicle but not bad. I thought CO was bad before I moved to Nebraska. 7% state income tax, crazy high property taxes, high sales tax, restaurant tax, $1200 just to register each vehicle for a year, this state is awful.

P.S. You'll want to shed those Texas plates and stickers as soon as you get there. It will cut down on the traffic violations and dirty looks. We used to live in Grand Junction (on the other side of the Rockies).
