    Tripod stands

I was planning on building a new blind for this season. I have decided to wait until next year, due to the current price of lumber. I’m now looking for a tripod to use for this season. At the top of my list is the Game Winner 10’ Tripod at academy. Does anyone have a tripod they prefer over this one, that is around the same price range?

    Go taller

But I have an older game winner and it's solid

I have a game winner one. It’s great. I hunt a lot of south Texas brush where the tops of most the heavy brush is 8-9 feet. Hides me good in that. Easy to move.

I just looked at South Texas Tripods. They don’t look like they will be as comfortable.
I’m going to do some measuring to figure out if I should go with the 10’ or 12’ - 16’. I do plan to move the tripod a few times this season.

I have the millennium, and have no complaints. Light easy to transport and move.

I have a game winner and hunt it all the time. Mine is tucked up in some oaks and deer never know that I am there. Last season I added some old christmas tree limbs to the railings.

If you have access to a welder build one for cheap. I think I have less the $60 bucks of material in mine and most of the cost was the super comfortable cushioned boat seat lol.

We just got a Game Winner tripod. It was able to go from 12' up to 16' tall. Same top as the 10' one we got last year. 16' is ways up there, but I can see FOREVER! Nice set up for $230

Been a long time since I've been in one but my experience with south texas tripods is they are super comfortable.

10 feet is too short for me unless in south Texas. I’d go higher

We set up this Game Winner 10’ this weekend, I bought the accessory wrap and roof and it’s decent, but the tripod is pretty nice. I didn’t want any higher than 10’ as I hunt in East TX and too tall means you get limbs in your way. I’d buy another one for sure, which I am considering to take to our place in South TX as a bow stand.

I love mine as well. Flipped it from a South wind setup to North wind in a few minutes this weekend. They are around $400 though.
