Found Remington model 12 .22 pump

Going through old closets at the farm house we found my Father in Laws old model 12. He is 78 years old and said it was his dads rifle. They used to hunt rabbits, coons, deer with it. It will not cycle properly and he wants to get functional again. Also is there a website to see when it was manufactured? I see where they were in production from 1909 -1936. Pretty neat little rifle.

Go straight to the source , call Winchester with the SN

    Looks like a model 1906 , not a model 12

    What’s the SN ?

I’ll ask my buddy that is big into older guns and see who he recommends in the Houston area to work on heirlooms. I’d get her back in action and go on a squirrel hunt

I have had very good luck and service with Kerry O'day at Match Grade Arms (MGA) off of Treshwig by Carter's Country or Briley's off BW8-I10. They both build fine firearms and have outstanding gunsmiths working for them. For a family heirloom you want to put it into qualified hands. Either of them will do a fine job.
                      Good luck!

                          Very cool

I think briley farms out work on anything but scatter guns. Maybe try and call collectors and see who they rec

For just finding it, it looks like it's in pretty good condition, got some pretty good wood on the stock for a cheap old rifle. Those are nice old rifles.

Just got off the phone with Remington. The rifle was manufactured in 1911. The stories this gun could tell it it could talk. Going to get in touch with collectors firearms and see if they have a recommendation to get it functioning again. I’m going to call the place up by carters country on treshwig too.
