    LDP question

Lots of great pics of kills lately with no weapons in the pics at all. Is that a new trend I don’t about? I don’t think I have ever taken a LDP without the weapon used.

Lay down picture. Pic of you or someone else with the animal you killed.

Lay down picture. Not a stupid question. Had to ask myself

I usually take a few pics with the weapon and a few with out the weapon. It gives me flexibility on where I want to display the photo.

Picture without, allows more flexibility in ones story ( s). Depending on who your talking to and the circumstances, it could be rifle, pistol, bow, black powder, cross bow or how you totaled your truck, or wife’s car, or company vehicle. So a picture without, is a lot more user friendly, if you know what I mean.

You do you, they’ll do them....this world would be awfully boring if everyone did the same thing.

Just curious if there was a reason for it since there was no mention of harvest method in the thread. Glad you had good advice for me though.

Understand...but I take quite a few pics without the weapon in it. It isn’t to hide my shameful method of kill, but I’d rather look at the animal than my weapon I can go grab out of the closet at any time. I’m proud of the animal no matter the means I kill it with....if I’m not I just won’t take a pic haha

Random...up in Maine there are some schools that have kill/harvest contests...in school...and LDPs are posted inside school. However...pictures with weapons are not allowed inside school.

If a bowhunter shot it with a bow...the bow would likely be displayed. If no weapon displayed...likely not archery....crossbows dont count as archery. IMO.

Good point. I’m not on any social media other than twitter. I thought maybe there were rules that prevent weapons on Facebook, Instagram etc. That’s really why i asked the question since there were six threads on page one with no mention of weapon. This is a hunting forum so it seamed strange to me.
