Opening morning in Doss-getting skunked

Am I the only one getting skunked this morning? I’m assuming they fed all night under that moon, but this wind isn’t helping things, either. Saw a lot of activity yesterday evening, so maybe the evening hunt will be better.

In San Saba and haven't seen a deer. Full moon and acorns rattling down on carport in the wind yesterday pretty well shut it down here. Had several nice bucks showing up.

I’m with the family family here at my folks place. We don’t get our MLD permits for my lease until Oct. 23.

Update: just drilled a big, fat doe. 25 yards quartered away. Our nice neighbor was riding the fence line on a 4 wheeler, & my deer were headed out.
