    Duke trap ?

Anyone here convert their trap to a push pull trigger instead of just a pull trigger? If so have you noticed any increase in catch’s ?

Me an the boys run dozens of the dukes and dozens of the freedom brand and haven’t see a noticeable increase of catches between the two. On a side note I did have some possums and skunks in the freedom brand, where I never had that issue with the pull only type dukes.

Now that I think about it I have not caught a skunk in the duke . Have caught several in my freedoms . Has to be cause it’s a push pull trigger.

Why convert it? The whole point of the trigger was to build a trap that only Coons would be the primary target. It can still catch another animal on occasions, but the pull trigger makes it ideal for coons.

Main reason was I have some old traps that were all rusted up . Seen a few YouTube videos of the push pull set up . Kind a kit with new triggers and hardware . I have the traps freed up now . Just kinda an idea I was thinking about .

I guess the only risk would be catching animals that don’t have thumbs to pull the trigger. I don’t want a skunk in any of mine!

I buy Z traps for that reason. I trap for pay on occasion and need to target skunks, oppossums, coons etc....

I mainly use them around my chicken coop . Dang skunks tear up chicken eggs.
