After lunch in Grand Lake, we spotted a sign for Adams Falls. We were entirely too full and tired for an adventure, but the sign said 0.3 miles so we figured even we could make that trip without much effort. After hiking to the overlook, Chris mentioned that some shots from below the waterfall would be pretty epic, and basically gave me "No B***s" suggestion to go look. It took some acrobatics to make it down to the river and then up to the falls, but the shots were worth it.

Yeah, I goaded Sam into climbing down to get a different angle. It was worth it. We rock hopped to get to different spots at the bottom. It was a great experience.

Not sure when the mulies rut is up there but didn't see anything from them. Seemed like the bucks were still in their bachelor groups, or back in their bachelor groups if the rut has already passed.
If you're planning to go into RMNP, get online and try to get a timed entry permit. If you don't have one they won't let you in. Or, you can arrive before 6am or after 5pm without a pass. Good luck and enjoy!
