Browning trail camera and CS rant!

I bought the exact same camera after great reviews here in December 2018. After one summer in the west Texas sun it became completely brittle. I’ve had WGI cameras out there for over 5 years and the plastic as well as lenses are perfect.
Was really disappointed in how fast it degraded. Won’t buy another. The pics were great, but the quality of the polymer and only lasting a year is a deal breaker for me.

I loved my Strikeforce cameras until they stopped taking night pics. Ok easy fix, contact browning and get an update. Nope they are up to date. Guy then tells me that it is because I use Duracell instead of Energizer batteries. Says Duracell has changed their formula. I took every one I had back to Academy and bought 2 more Bushnells. They are working great after 2 years. And for all the people saying they are the best cheap camera, I call BS on that. Moultrie still has the best cheap cameras on the market. I still have one that is running after 7yrs of use. Never again with Browning.

Browning trail camera and CS rant!
Let me get this straight
You are making a knee jerk reaction and ditching a bulletproof brand because they stopped supplying replacement parts for discontinued items during a global pandemic.....? It just seems like more of an emotional decision than a rational one.
I won’t use anything other than Browning. They have by far the best bang for the buck. I can typically find decent dark ops or spec ops versions for $120, and they easily compete with competing brands $180 cameras. My oldest Browning camera just died because it ended underwater at 6 years old.
One of the guys I hunt with from time to time has over 60 cameras on public land. More than 50 of them are Browning spec ops or dark ops. He has run every brand you can think of, and swears by the Browning’s. I have 8 (7 dark ops, and a spec ops) and completely agree.
We have to understand that anything we leave in the woods, especially electronics, are potentially expendable items.

I email Browning Customer service a couple of months ago about getting a PIR lenses for my cameras and was told they couldn't get them they offered me a replacement camera at a reduced cost.
UPDATE: I received an email yesterday asking for my address so they could send me a new one at NO COST!! WHAT? waiting to see if I get it.

I love these cameras, just do not like the fact due to age (no idea how old they are) they will not stock replacement parts. When you have 25 different PIR lens listed on your website, to me that is to many period! I know thye have to update yearly die to competition, but why can they not use the same style PIR lens from one camera to the next?

Just send it into them and tell them it isn’t working correctly. They’ll replace or offer a new one for reduced cost.
