Man, that is awesome! Congrats! I had a chance to hunt Roosevelt elk on Santa Rosa Island in the late 90s with some friends/King ranch heirs and ended up having to go to a wedding that weekend instead. Ooooof. My buddy was divorced within two years. I still hold that trip that didn’t happen against him.
So if you wound an animal, can you not try to finish that animal off?
Or does it just mean you draw blood on one and you can't take any other animal except the wounded one?
Knowing Cali it is the first
Yes, you can try to finish it off. But I think if any evidence of a hit that is your animal. So graze the brisket or knock some hairs off the back and you are only hunting that animal.
Gonna go try to catch a California bass on the fly rod. Decided to hang out at the ranch until Sunday. I enjoy these guys I’m hunting with. I booked two days of fishing by Redding with The Fly Shop. I’ll try not to disappoint!
On a side note, this was my first animal with the VXR. It’s a great bow although I think I like the traverse a bit better.
