    Very simple fix. Had the same problem for years with certain cows so finally decided to stop it for good. Protein cost to much to gamble with cattle. Keep the hog panels in place and build a standard 3 barbwire perimeter fence about 10 ft off set from your feeder pen. Start your first bottom wire 26 ins off the ground giving easy access to deer to go under and then jump in the feeder pen. Never have to worry about cows again, protects your investment, and will up your shed finding in the future we have never had a issue since in the last 10yrs

      Corn, protein, or sweet feed is candy to cattle. No matter how good the pasture is.
