Gus scores on a good meat sow

My 14 year old dropped this sow in her tracks last night under the feeder light at 100 yards. .308 Win shorty shooting 175gr Lehigh Defense Controlled Chaos. He then cleaned her himself and got the meat on ice.
One proud dad.....

Amazing how often our hog kills look like the shooter, lean and mean. The hog is tame now, that leaves you with a killing machine........

Heck ya, reminds me of me. I was a lanky 14yr old with my grandfather's Rem Model 600 .308 Mohawk that he gave me. Killed lots of stuff and learned how to clean and dress stuff all myself. Very proud to see a young man doing this.
