    Getting Meat Back from WY

Flying up to the Casper WY area to hunt antelope in October and looking for the cheapest way to get meat back. Any suggestions? My current option is to try and freeze the meat using dry ice and then pack it back on the plane without the dry ice since the airline charges 150 to ship coolers with dry ice.

That will do just fine. Then again, since it is a speed goat, consider just leaving the meat with a friend. . .or enemy. Kidding. Not my favorite meat--depending on what they have been eating, but some love it.

Buy you a cheap Walmart suitcase. Freeze the meat over night and pack your suit case. Check the bag at the airport. Done it more times than I can count.

I can actually get a whole pronghorn into a backpack and carry it on. Just let tsa know whats in the bag on entry. Thats a 16" goat hanging out the back.

Pre COVID, wife and I would fish in Cabo, and freeze our fish and pack in a suitcase
Never had a problem ( but never had a airplane delay)
I froze my caribou meat and shipped it home air freight from Alaska it was expensive

I've done the same thing at the Denver airport with an elk in suitcases.

Our Governor's wife, First Lady Jennie Gordon, just implemented a program this year called Food from the Field. The url is https://www.nohungerwyo.org/field

I will be donating my Antelope meat to this initiative designed to help feed the hungry here in our state. I would encourage you to thinking about doing the same.
