Axis population - Hunt TX?

I would think there is some decent axis...not far from Kerville.

Anybody hunt around Hunt, TX?

I have been invited to hunt there for the last 10 or 12 years- hunt between Kerr Wildlife Management area and the MO Ranch. You see lots of axis in the area. I heard a few years ago they did a big kill off on the MO Ranch because they were being over run.

Was just through there this weekend and saw a ton of axis and Whitetails.

Just depends on where your located in reference to HF ranches sometimes. You might be fenced out completely, or have them all over. Sometimes there's just a few fences keeping them out of your property.
