    Rv tire wear

we have had our camper abput 3 years and have put roughly 30-35k miles on it. We bought it new. The drivers side rear tire is worn out in 15k. Just from the inside. All of the others are in great shape. Wouldnt a bent axle or overloaded cause wear on more tires? Its the same tire everytime. The bearings seem ok as well.

First - run your tire pressure at or near the max printed on the sidewall

Second - get them balanced. You'd never drive your truck with unbalanced tires, why would you allow your trailer to bounce around with out of balance tires? They'll last longer, wear more evenly, and your bearings will thank you. Added benefit is that the trailer will pull more smoothly.

My rv did the same, it stopped when I started using Hancook 14 ply tires.

Not sure but I think it’s the cheap rv trailer tires that do this

Had the same problem. Put Goodyear Endurance trailer tires on and no more problems. Always run at max pressure.

That is what my bent axle looked like, although I probably only had about 6K miles on it. New axle fixed it......cC

Id blame the tires but ive changed them and changed brands and it happens to the same tire spot each time within 5 lbs of max pressure.
Those with bent axles was it one tire or both on that axle. This is a dual axle camper 3 of the tires wear looks great. Its just this one tire spot

Mine was just one tire on a 2011 Open Range Jt337 travel trailer w/5000# axles on a trailer that probably actually weighed 10,000# I reality. Just saying.....cC

Mine did the same, back tire on the side with the big slide out so naturally had more weight.
Went to 14 ply tires and changed every 3 years no matter the miles or wear.

Probably just to to the junk tires that come on them. I changed mine out the first year. I HATE cheap tires and blowouts

Normally when a customer brings one in with wear like this it will be a bent axle. If you have already put another set of tires, checked bearings and it still the only 1 to wear like this, I would say bent axle. Take a level that will span the length of tire top to bottom, make sure it contacts the tire side wall. Place on all 4 tires and note where the bubble sits for each tire. If the bubble is different than the other 3, that should indicate bent axle.
For 15" tires, we have been using Master Track 12 ply tires with no complaints yet
