Not sure about Paloma Pachanga, but I hunted with Bader Ranch in Hondo Friday and Saturday evening. The north of town field was the worse I’ve seen it in the last 6 years. We hunted their south field yesterday evening and it was the closest you can get to Argentina hunting without leaving the states. Probably saw a million dove. Easy limits for everyone. Check out Bader Ranch on FB or Instagram. They posted a video from yesterday afternoon. I was on that field and the birds flew by us for over an hour just like that video.
Hunted Paloma Pachanga (Venatura) Sat evening until the storms blew in. It was the slowest I’ve seen it ever. I shot maybe a 1/2 box. I heard folks did well earlier in the week though.
Hunted on the Seco north of D’hanis Fri evening and Sunday morning. Worked for a limit, but it was great. Mix of Morning, White Wing and a couple Eurasian. They’re around, but I wouldn’t spend the money at PP until more birds come in or you hunt their South fields.

I’ll be hunting the Bader Ranch on 15/16. Hopefully the birds are still there.
I heard it second hand, but one of the Venatura guys said it’s slow right now from this round of storms, but in a week or two they’d be covered up a again. For what it’s worth...
Not sure on picking the field. We’ve hunted the same field on opening day since I was a kid. All other hunts there I’ve been hosted and was along for the ride. In every case except this last Sat evening it’s been really good. North, south and even in mid Dec.

Only some severe weather would move the birds out of there. The south field behind the neighborhood was loaded Saturday. Of course it was the first day of special white wing and those birds had not been shot at yet.
Normally the outfitter picks the field and location you hunt.

I hunted Bader on Thursday and didn’t kill a single bird. Only a handful of birds shot in our group. Probably 3 shots total for me.

Obviously the weather plays a factor.
We hunted the north field Friday afternoon and shot 7 birds between 6 of us. It was terrible. It did rain right before we got to the field Friday. I’ve never seen that few birds on the north field in the last 6 years. South field was a different story.
