Covert E1 Question

Question for the green screen. I'm running (3) Covert E1 cameras with spotty cell service. They all (3) have rechargeable batteries with the Covert solar panel. The problem I'm having is they keep going dead. I can change out the batteries and they'll work for a while then die. My question is if they are searching cell service will that cause them to burn through the batteries? (1) of them seems to have better reception than the other ones and it also seems to keep its charge a bit longer. Just wondering if anyone else has ran into this issue.

Searching eats up battery. Try the extended range antenna

Thanks for the info I’ll get a couple of extended range antennas and see how that goes.

I had a couple issues with mine. Covert said original antennas sucked. They're sending me new ones.

And they emailed me an update for the camera which I saved to the cams SD card.
Then put card in cam and it auto updated. Fixed battery issue. Hope new antennas fix service issues (was ok til old antennas broke).
