            One of my spotters from the service does that for a living. He is VERY well paid. He has worked the 765kV AC line and the +/- 500kV DC line out west. He said even in the suit you can feel the electric field.

            Did I mention he is well paid?

                      Saw them doing this behind work a few months ago. It was windy that day and they were bouncing around quite a bit. High pucker factor

                          Rode the skids of UH-1’s many times so I don’t think I’d have had any problem doing that in my younger days. Heck, I might still give it a try today but someone’s gonna have to teach me the lectrcal work.

                              That looks miserable! Im WAY too afraid of heights to do any of this, but it sure is fun to watch choppers pull wire on those high lines. Never actually saw somebody working on the lines like this though.
