What portable battery do you recommend?

Looking at getting a portable cell phone battery charger and wanted to know what you guys recommend. I saw a few that look like they come with solar panels to recharge. Do y'all have any recommendations or personal experience with them? I'm thinking about getting one for my drawn hunt since I'll be camping and not near phone chargers. I'm lucky in that my phone currently has a good battery that can last 48 hours if I'm not using it much, but I figure I'll be using the crap out of my GPS and using it to live-blog my hunt or passing the time.

Great avatar picture. Did you know Nick Offerman is an accomplished woodworker? He does great work.

Yeah, he’s on point with woodworking . He’s also written books and manliness . I turn him off when he gets political.

I almost said, "I hope I don't find out what his political ideas are because if it's like the rest of Hollywood, it would ruin him for me." And I didn't. And now he is ruined.

Thanks for the info on the Halo. I'll look into it.

I believe mine is an Anker. Look at the capacity on whatever charger you buy, mine is only good for about two full charges on my phone.

Started looking at the solar units a few days ago.

I have a couple that will fully charge my phone 6 times before they need to be recharged. I bought them on Amazon and paid $23 plus tax for each of them. I have prime so free shipping. Here is the link.

My halo comes with Jumper cables to start cars . They are just good to have for a just in case moment.

Is it as simple as taking the mAh capacity of the charger and dividing it by what your phone battery is? My phone I believe is 4,000...so a 20,000 should charge my phone roughly 5x.

I believe so. I've seen most people recommend 20,000 minimum.
