I've heard it's a great show, but enjoying it is a generational thing (This sounds a lot like my parents talking about the Glen Miller and Benny Goodman orchestras!) But for those of us who were in college in the 70's Elton John brings back great memories - I still listen my to original copies of his Madman Across the Water and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road albums. Even though he eventually became a flamboyent poof, his old songs take me back to the days of keggers and willing young college girls. I'm sure neither of those guys have the chops they once did - it's all about what (or who) you were doing the first time you heard them...
Good point Jerp! Denise and I were only in junior high in the 70's but it can't be said these two guys did not RULE the airwaves for quite a few years.
Heck, we are looking at getting tickets for Brue Springsteen in a few months. He could not even get on top of the piano without struggling during the Super Bowl halftime! All in fun for us!
I wouldn't walk across the street for Elton John, but the 2x I've seen Billy Joel play they were incredible concerts, great music and very high energy on stage. "Just the way you are" by Joel was the music for my bride and my 1st dance when we were married.
