Gun Broker issues...

I have tried to bid on an item and the site won't let me make a bid. It tells me I need to have a bank account or credit card entered for an automatic payment method, yet I can't use either one to pay for the item I want to bid on.

What could I possible need to have a credit card or bank account on file to pay for on Gun Broker?

I"ve only bid on one item in the past and this wasn't on the site.

Am I missing something here?

They consider everyone to be both a buyer & seller...a seller has to have one to charge the commissions.

May be something new, haven't heard if that issue before. I have an FFL and I know lately there have been TONS of non-paying bidders. They may have started it to help curb that problem. I don't sell much on there so haven't kept up with any updates
