    G loomis Warranty

recently sent in a pro series salt water rod in and paid the replacement fee and patiently waited for my rod to come back, 3 weeks later I decided to give them a call after 45 min wait the person pretending to assist finally came back and said rods are in back order till Dec 10 th due to covid. so moral of the story is don't make the same mistake I did $150 to send it $150 replacement and still cant get my fishing rod! total cost of a new rod $295. to top it all off the jack leg hung up the phone by saying my Manger will contact you soon and hung up the phone!

    Dang that sucks.

I’ve reached out to Duckett and another company, via email, on possible warranty replacement/repair and I have heard what from either of them.

If total cost of a new rod is $295 why would you spend $300 on a warranty replacement?

I had sent a rod to Waterloo to be fixed or replaced and a year later I finally heard from them and got another rod. I had pretty much forgotten I even sent them a broken rod.

Not laughing at you but with you.

You may have to change your username from no bait to no rod

This is where I'm getting stuck. I keep reading it thinking I'm missing something?

I've shipped lots of rods all over the US and I have never had one cost $150 to ship. That is the part that sounds crazy to me.

GLoomis has gone to crap anyway. I used tons of GLoomis back in the 90's and they use to be way ahead of the pack. Their warranty and service were top notch. Ever since Shimano bought them it has not been the same. I have not bought a GLoomis in many years now. And this story right here illustrates some of the reasons why.

Loomis makes great rods but their warranty leaves something to be desired.

Honestly, i'm considering selling all of my high dollar fly rods and replacing them with TFO's and Echo's.

I still have a couple Sage but I’ve been super impressed with TFO and happy with everything I have from them. Have heard the same on Echo and Moonshine

When you factor in the service aspect it's an average rod.

Loomis owned by Shimano now... NOT the same customer service

Warranty used to be second to none before buy out

From what I have heard the new TFO fly rod models are going to compete with the best. I sure do like their warranty and customer service.

because at the time of purchase it was only $50 replacement and the shipping was $125 and since the time of purchase the replacement cost has gone up to $150. money is really not the issue your missing the point they were paid! customer service is the point!
