There is a recall on it. We had the same problem. We took it in prior to receiving the letter in the mail. It was a quick fix.
We have an aftermarket system in ours and though the sound shop make a screw up. Turns out it was nissans problem.

My mechanic has stoped suggesting battery brands and tells me all of them go bad for no good reason. Changed out SIL battery last week on her 2 year old car. Found one with a 100 month guaranty.
There are different types of batteries being made. Our K900's battery had to come from Kia and was $500.00..................Comment

I'll add that there is also a recall on the back up cam software, it's minor but it allows the user to make a change in the fov.
They just flash it and take that option away from the user.
