Where to fish between hunts(Lampasas county)????

I will be taking the boys hunting this weekend... Friday - Sunday just north of Lometa(Lampasas county).

Anyone know of a good place to go fishing between morning and afternoon hunts?

Is there a place to fish the Colorado on hwy 190 going towards San Saba?

Try Colorado Bend state park. It's located just south of San Saba in Bend. Good luck.

might try the lake in Lometa.

David the CBSP doesnt have whites in it this year. Skip the weekend hunting and goto upper lake Travis.

Go try Sims Creek outside of Adamsville there is some county road low water crossings on the back roads and the Lampasas river has a cpl of spots there as well.

I see folks fishing in the park in Lampasas.I don't know what they're catching,but there's always somebody there.

I figured Colorado Bend was too dry. I think we will fish at Shaffer bend in the morning & go to the lease after that.

we may end up at Shaffer on Sunday morning. it was fun out there today. Was cool to see the turkeys fly across the river.
