I break the academy system every year. And every single time all the tags on the first printout read, "not a valid tag."

Check you license before you sign/leave! Check your endorsements, your HIP certification, your hunter's ed number, and your tags.
I ordered my tags online and I have a lifetime license

Only thing I could not get was a trapping license, they don't sell them online

Of course I don't have tags in hand yet either

Got the AHP book in the mail today though so maybe license tomorrow

That's how mine should have worked. I had both my kids license, but I couldn't even get to that point.

No paper copies this year due to China virus. All online.

I’ve had my lifetime licenses for 15+ years. Been getting them online the last 5 I know. Paper copies come in the mail 5-10 days later. Coach

Man that sounds like a lot of work to get it right.

I resorted to Academy for my license the other day since the lady at Ace hardware where I normally buy wouldn't sell me a 2020. She said she couldn't sell those until August 29th or it would just go bad in a few days.
I pleaded my case as it was after August 15th, but she wasn't having it because the post it note someone put on the register told her so.

Oh well, peeps at Academy where I went knew what they were doing and got it right straight out the box.

Wow... I was at the academy store in San Angelo yesterday evening and witnessed the exact same thing. A father attempting to buy a youth hunting license was being told that his dauther didn't need one. Seemed like he set them straight pretty fast but at least four different attendants chimed in on the "no need for a license for the child".

A friend of mine comes teal hunting with me every year. He needed a duck stamp. The low IQ employee at walmart was adamant he needed a stamp for each duck he killed......

I think that is even worse than my story.

That makes me think there was a memo or something sent out. Could just be ignorance across the board though.
