Update:

Today is day 31 since the accident. And things have been moving forward pretty good. I had a wedding yesterday so didn’t make it up.
Starting Friday he started saying crazy things. Not like his filter is missing but strange thing. He told his mom and nurses he was dead, they were dead. That he was in a dream and wasn’t going to do anything else till he woke up. Was being abnormally blunt/rude. So the docs did a urine analysis, run blood labs and did a CT to check for brain bleeds. All came back clean. So now I believe they will be looking at meds. But today he has been good. Told me he thinks he is out of his dream and he can’t remember the last time he saw Reagan(his girlfriend) or his mom, who was just here and has been everyday since wreck. He got up and walked to the bathroom with me there just Incase he fell and did great. Wants to get in a hurry but does good. Eating like a horse with a tape worm. Has his NG tube removed. Talking a lot better. Just doing a lot of resting today. Will wake up talk about Reagan and details of there relationship. Like dates and locations. Talked about the upcoming season. Looked at some cam pix and back to sleep he went.

I’m sorry I haven’t been updating more. I haven’t been told a lot since he moved up to Dallas. He is busy and doing better every day is pretty much all I am told. But he is doing just that.

My prayers continue!


When I was 13, and got hit by a car the first time while riding my bike, I didn't have any memory of the preceding 2 weeks before the event. But I remember every fraction of a second during the event to this day, all the way through it and afterwards. I had to be reminded of what all we did the previous two weeks, a little at a time till it all came back. The impact of the car left me 142 feet away. I remember every bit of it.


Edit: Sometimes what we perceive as a hardship, may be a blessing in disguise.
