We run Dodge trucks at our company all of them have made a ticking noise especially During start up and for a few minutes after. It's so common in those Trug's then a lot of people say O that's just part of what they are. Truth is a lot of the time it's the heat Shields by the manifold the bolts have broken And if it's not done under warranty they want about a $1000 to fix it. They can also be an exhaust leak which has happened to 3 of our trucks in the last 5 years
Hemis are bad about breaking exhaust bolts, but the “tick” is referring to the hydraulic lifters going out and eating the cam up. Basically the lifter in the mds system gets stuck and slaps the cam until it eats the lobe off. Then it’s tear down time.
