Went yesterday morning. Didn't see a thing. May have heard one shot. Crazy dead. Conditions were great too.

There is about 370 miles of Texas coast.
That's not counting all the marsh.

Of course lots of people hunt "the same body of water"

Did pretty good this morning. 24 birds between 5 of us. Teal, spoonies, mottle, widgeon and gadwalls.

Unfortunately they were roosting there and we scared several hundred off driving in

I’m going to spend more time behind the camera the rest of the season and start working on the photo side of things. New lens comes in Friday that has more reach for flight photos.

Going to try the Tamron 100-400 before I splurge on the Sony. Should be getting it today actually.


This morning was a small ring neck beat down. 13 of them between 4 of us. Saw mallards but no one came in
