    Math help - blind angles

I've built a couple blinds with an octagonal front and squared back end. Ripped the 2x4s at 22.5 degrees. No issues.

I want to change up the design a bit and not sure if my angles will change because it's not a true octagonal front. The front side will be longer than the two adjacent sides so I think my angles will be all jacked up. I'll follow this with a pic of what I'm thinking.

with what you have sketched out there the inside angles will be 135 degrees so ripping each sheet of plywood at 22.5 degrees will work out.

Those are all 135 deg, proceed.

Thanks everyone. Guess I was wrong about the uneven sides changing the angles. Much appreciated!

If you changed that front 4' section, or the 6' side walls, the angles would change.

Those angled walls are not "exactly 2'10", but they're **** close. Cut those last.

                  33.941" short angled walls, or 33 15/16 +.003"

                    Actually... 33 15/16" + .0035" since we're trying to be exact.

I wish! Most of my stuff has tolerances in the +/-.0005 range.
