VIN Verification Places

I bought a SxS with a New Mexico title. In order to get it swapped over to Texas and in my name, I have to have the VIN verified. Can this be done at the normal inspection places? DPS?

You’ll need a 68-A completed to turn in with title. Your local auto theft task force should have a day or two every month to do 68-A inspections. There are approximately 7-8 ABTPA task forces around the state that do them.

Call your local sheriffs department to find out what task force covers the area you live in.

Got it figured out, thanks. I can take it to any state inspection location. Called the tax office.
