    Which feeder?

Have it narrowed to a Spintech winch up or a Sendero(the brand Lowe’s grocery stores carries) clone of the Bucee’s ASF. Capacity doesn’t matter one way or the other. It’s going 20 min from my house. Seems a winch up opens your shooting area up quite a bit, but how bad are coons with a winch up and/or the spintech feeders?

I have been playing with feeders for a long time
Winch ups are great, but a little more trouble to set up, repair and varmint proof
Ours have had cable troubles and 300 lbs is a little rough to crank up.

I much prefer a taller stand and fill like mine that is 100% Coon proof and easy to fill.

One of the folks on lease bought one of the buccee's stand and fill (~$400). I'm impressed with it. Varmint proof, 12V motor with solar and the timer. Throws corn out a good ways. I've got several feeders that I paid 6-800 for. Was looking at putting a 12v feeder unit on an old barrel feeder. Very tempted to get the buccee's stand and fill.

Stand and fill. Whatever brand, I’m done with winch ups, the buccees one is a great deal

Stand and fill with Krivoman directional is where it is at.

I only use the Spintech winch up sold at Lowe's. But I'd try a stand and fill if it looked durable and was $400.

The $399 Buccee’s stand and fill are ok, just know they aren’t 100% coon proof.

The one from Sendero looks almost identical to the Bucee’s ASF. And it’s $399. I think the winch up Spintech’s are $379? How “coonproof” are those winch ups you’ve got? And is there anymore maintenance or anything funky about those spintechs?

Went with the Sendero stand and fill. 600lb capacity galvanized. Comes with timer and solar panel for $399. Extremely similar to the ASF Bucee’s feeder.

I defended crank ups for years due to the area they could disperse corn and cows could not bother the timer and coons had trouble getting to them.

NOW, I have sold all mine and have the Stand and Fill from 2 different companies with no regrets. Even the 600# Stand and Fill from Academy that is 6 volt throws corn in a pretty good radius and will actually hold 15 bags of corn when empty. Never again on crank ups!

If a winch up is about half empty a good wind can make it move and loose corn.

as far as timers, anything but American Hunter. 4 out of 4 failed in 3 months.
