    Hanging an Axis hide ??

Wife wants to hang an Axis hide on the living room wall. It has been tanned and is soft, so we're looking for a way to "pin" it to the wall.

Not looking to frame it, just the hide by itself. I think the flat, chrome thumb tacks would look bad. But wanted to put this idea out there for other options.

We're wanting to use it a "filler" for some dead space on a large wall.

Small brass nails or thumbtack. Hide the head under the hide hair. Tack it and run the hair back and forth to hide the nail/tack

      Or Clavos nails

I used tacks like Antlers said. You won’t see them once you cover them with the Axis hair

Do many of yall hang them on the wall? I have a few that i haven't done anything with. If so, can you maybe post pics of how it looks?

I picked up some of the brass tacks (or something like it) at Hobby Lobby this afternoon. Also read about using heavy duty staples (for cow hides), but I'll try the tacks first.

If it works, I'll post up a pic.

I hung 2 whitetail hides in my sons bedroom using some big headed tacks. Hair on the hide covers them up. Been up for over 10 years and not a problem.
