This time last year, all of the TBHers followed our Live Idaho Elk Hunt with over 20k views! Much of that viewing success was due to David’s help aka “Yelladog”. Sure hope to top that live hunt with this one.
The time has come for Pops and I to begin our trek West to chase speed goats with a TBH recommended outfitter Mr. Tye Lightfoot.
I am in route to Hallettsville to pick up Pops aka “MDB” on the green screen.
We will be only driving halfway tonight stopping in San Angelo for dinner and a good nights rest before we finish the final five hours of our total 10 Hour Drive.
We will have a little bonus trip included in this trip as we are going to hunt prairie dogs after we are tagged out on speed goats. We have a total of four rifles in tote:
Two .17HMRs
One Rem 700 .300WM
One Ruger American 6.5CM
We have actually practiced more for this hunt with rifles than we have for any other hunt.
Tye explained shots could be anywhere from 50 yards out to 400 yards depending on the lay of the land and how far we have to stalk from the truck.
Another great addition to this trip is we will have a husband and wife hunting team (Ernie and Donna) that we actually met last year in Idaho.
They will also be hunting with us and we will meet up with them tomorrow around lunch. They are driving in from Kentucky!
Stay tuned for updates!!!
