??? about Granger and no its not about pigs

hey i hear the sandies are running up at granger in the san gabriel.
does any body know where the primitive boat ramp is and is it suitable to drag a 12 ft jon boat in there with a go-devil and run in the river.
wanna take the boys while their on spring break but kinda wanted to know a little about it before i drove 70 miles over there. planning on going thursday.
any body got any suggestions and or answers????

I don't know about the sandies(I'm sure their there)-but I know the crappie are on in the river! My little girl and momma had a blast tearing them up this weekend.
If you are heading north on 95 from Taylor...you will take the first right AFTER you go over the bridge that goes over the san gabriel(sorry I can't remember the road number). Take it a couple of miles in (you will go over an underpass built for cattle) till you reach a sharp elbow in the road that veers to the left(farm house with horses in front of you) -there is a dirt road going to the right-this is the road going to the primitive launch. It will be a little bit of work getting your boat down in there-with 2 of you it will be much easier. You will have to take your go devil off, and you will not be able to back your trailer all the way up to the water. If this doesn't work -you may have to launch out of taylor park-that might cost you an hour or two to get up in the river by boat. It's a pretty ride though...p.m. if you need more direction.

oh by the way-you shouldnt have any problems running a 12 ft, plenty of water for that.

Sorry, I did say your name though. We didn't drive back through there until after dark and had a bunch of fish to clean, the sun was in my eyes, can't dance, and to wet to plow.

Glad you and Amanda made it back OK.
