I'm gonna call my landowner and tell him he is an idiot and I need his stupid cows in another pasture

It's getting dry in central Texas. Cows are getting hungry. I'm a week are so from feeding hay. Good fences around your feeders are the answer.

Yep. We haven’t fed protein for 5 years now because cattle started jumping our cattle panels, crushing them in the process, to eat the protein. Tried barbed wire pens instead, but then hogs just slept under them all night long.

Doghouse has a solid answer. Its very dry in areas and all animals are looking for food. Our deer are eating a lot of protein and so far good pens have kept the cows out. Fingers crossed for some rain for the cows. I hope the acorns are a light crop this year.

if hogs aint problem raise hog panel off ground about a foot...and your about same height as cattle panels..Haven't bought any in while but I was thinkin price was not much diff....but srand of Barb over top will work as said...Given a choice Cattle would be mine if gota buy and price was about same..But beware if goats and or sheep are thy can get head stuck in cattle panels
