Lake Conroe - Guide?

Headed to a friend of a friends house on Conroe for a couple of days next week. Being last minute, it may be a long shot finding a guide with an opening. I guess it is worth a shot, though.

2 adults and 4 kids. Same boat, like a party barge, would be ideal. Catfish or crappie.

Who would you recommend?

Never fished with a guide on Conroe but Fish Dude out of Stowaway seems to do well consistently and he run a big center console that should hold all of y’all.

I haven't fished with him, but have heard of a lot of folks doing well with Hooker Harwell's Guide Service on Conroe. I believe he is focusing on night time fishing right now, wouldn't hurt to call and ask tho

And this time of year, catfish for sure. Crappie can be caught but very tough right now.
Keeping the kids entertained, catfish is the way to go.

Yeah I should have clarified a little. He flat catches everything. But can hammer the hybrids like no one else.
