Sorry guys, couldn't resist... 2 years ago, I had 3 trips cancelled due to dang storms... Hope it doesn't mess up y'all's trip. If my schedule could be rearranged, I'd be on it with you!

Looks like 97L will be approaching the western Caribbean sometime over the weekend so as usual, lots of question marks on what it will do and where it will end up. A good handful of models bring it into the Gulf from a depression to a cat 1 hurricane so obviously needs to be closely watched.

Models are all over the place with 98L. Some show an intense hurricane but latest model runs show it getting shoved more westward with a very stout Bermuda high over the Atlantic causing land interaction over Hispaniola or Cuba as it tracks towards the GOM. Just gotta watch it.

I will be touch n go from now through the weekend so hopefully others will chime in.
