        Last year, I accompanied Shorty Gorham on a lion call NW of Uvalde. The country looks very similar to the country that we hunted. We trailed a bobcat but never cut any lion sign that morning.

          LMAO! I'm most certainly no expert in Doc's field either. I'm as good at identifying bobcats and mountain lions apart as I am in Doc's field.

                We had pictures of one last year in Uvalde county. We’re east of the Sabinal. Lost at least one calf. Hope he stays away from our place.

                    It might even be a colt or calf. Looks very bovinish and rhinoish. Is this in Africa?
