The ranch I run my summer axis lease on is in need of some extra cash quick, so she called to see if I could sell one deer. It is from the winter herd so I have to sell him quick before he drops his horns.. He is only alive because he stay close to the house in the house pasture. He comes up to the feeder at the house daily. Now this is a low fence 4500 acre ranch, so they are not tame, just used to being safe around the house where they have a no hunt zone.
Well she tells me that some Better lifers came through and wanted in the trailer house. Well it was locked so they do about $2000 in damages getting in. So I am trying to get this deer sold fast. Here are some pictures. These pictures were taken this past week. We can bow or Riffle him. Hunters choice. I will be guiding them. I would prefer to go during the middle of the week vs. weekend as I have alot of Baseball games on the weekends with my kids. .
My guess is that he is in the 36+ range on beams and 36-38 inches wide, maybe wider. He has 8 scorable points.
