    UTV/ATV Shortage ??

Our Polaris dealer here in Iowa is 15 miles out on the gravel from any direction, but is really a nice dealership considering they are in the middle of nowhere.

We went over there Friday looking for Ranger 500 or 570. They normally have around 60 UTVs and ATVs in stock. They have like 10 total in stock. They normally have like 20 used units in stock. They have one used 2007 in stock.

He said Polaris normally has a year end clearance (2020 models), but he heard they were cancelling it because most dealers don't have any to clear out.

I know the supply chain has been interrupted in many industry's. I am a Vortex Optics dealer and right now the Vortex warehouse is dang near empty. There are way more items out of stock than in stock.

How is the side by side inventory in Texas?

I saw this message from the Polaris CEO on their website.

"Despite social turbulence and softness in our Adjacent Markets businesses, between ongoing strong consumer demand and historically low dealer inventory levels, we are well-positioned for the second half of the year. I am fortunate to work with an extremely talented team and am confident that we will navigate this pandemic, engender a more welcoming and inclusive Powersports industry, and continue building an even better and stronger business".

Scott Wine, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Polaris Industries Inc.

My buddy bought his Mule in Gainesville, when he tried to deal on it the guy told him they had already sold 16 that day, this is well over a month ago. He wanted blue and had to wait awhile on it.

I would have lost money on it, no way I figured with job losses that boat, RV and UTV would be gangbusters

The east tx powersports in Lufkin appeared to have several units in stock from the other day. Now i can’t speak of colors, brands or specific models availability.

I bought a new one last week, talked to 6 dealers and none of them had the one we wanted in stock. Happened to be driving thru Victoria and called Bosarts and he had just received three still in crates that day. I swung by there and bought the one I wanted and saw him sell the other two that same afternoon. Demand is at all time high and production has been really low.

I was in Normangee tractor a couple weeks ago and saw 4 load up while I was picking up a tractor part. Everything is going crazy , atv, boats, campers, cars, bikes.

I asked the dealer here when he expected a delivery. He couldn't give me a date or even an idea. He put me on a waiting list for a Ranger 570 with power steering. I was about the 10th name down on the list.....at least on that page.

Some of the good/positive things C-19 has brought on is hopefully slowing life down and enjoying friends and family?

Now if we can only get TPWD and the state officials to get our parks back up to par. And these gestapo forest service federal and state officials open up some trails for public useasge.

Very little, if any, inventory around here either. Great for those dealers but there is concern that financial institutions will be getting some of this stuff back.

If you can wait, I would say in another year you will start seeing some nearly new inventory start showing up for sale.

I 2nd this. Going to be a lot of cars, trucks, campers, boats, and UTV's for sale with little to no miles.

Already seeing it with campers. Problem is a lot of folks will be really overextended.
