I was wondering what the best arrows are for the price. I am just a hunter, but I may do a couple of 3-d tournaments this year.

Best Arrows for the Price?

Looks like no one wants to touch this one!
Disclaimer: The following information is my opinion based upon personal experience.
I had been shooting Easton xx78 aluminums until I got into a bind recently. I was headed out for a hunt within a weeks time and couldn't get my arrows to tune properly (forgotten I had gone from 125gr to 100gr heads). I went to one of the local shops and was talked into some Easton Axis FMJ 300's. After seeing the penetration that i received with these arrows I will not change to anything else. Downfall is that they are a bit pricey to be flinging at tree rats and other corn thieves.

I've shot FMJs for 3 years and they have been an exceptional value for the buck. I have had no problems or complaints with them and they have flown straight and true thousands of times. The only time I cussed one was when I missed my target (my fault) and the arrow damaged one of my VW pistons on a shelf in the garage and the arrow was destroyed. Get the best you can afford and think long term.
