    Non-battery deer feeder?

Would like to put up a new deer feeder on my lease in NE Texas. But don’t really want to deal with batteries and solar panel.

What non-battery feeder have you been successful with?

Bout any free choice type protein feeder.

    Boss Buck is my preference.

I never found one that had enough control..on volume.. I had battery powered running for 30 y at least 2 or 3/ 365 days a year..rarely any problem and if theres problem its due to last line....Duracell or Energizer yea they cost more BUT sling farther and last longer and easier to predict how long they will last. But Solar and Battery work fine if ya got SUN..and are trouble free if (and this goes for all above) clean corn too..Gota be coon/squi proof..not just to corn, but wiring and S panel, battery , slinger, timer, mechanism, too...

Knock out a couple handles of cheap whiskey that comes in plastic bottles. Cut a couple nickel-sized holes in the side. Fill with corn. Watch the deer kick them around to get the corn out.

Large sewer pipe 20 inch diameter or so. Attach a to a 4x4 sheet of plywood with L bracket and leave about an inch opening. This will hold a lot of corn and it takes some time for them to eat it.
